NCAA Tourny
Coming up is one of the most famous activities in the history of March, March-Maddness. March Maddness is the NCAA tournement to see who will be crowned as the champion of division one college basketball. There are 65 teams that make the bracket and this year is sure to be a great year with all of the match-ups. There are four number 1 seeds, and they are, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, and Syracuse. I am rooting for Ohio St. to win it all and if they play good they may have a chance. Good luck to everyone on there brackets this year and also look out for Baylor!
184 Million !
In baseball news, everyone is talking about the amazing contract that the Twins superstar catcher just recieved. The Twins superstar catcher is Joe Mauer, and he won the MVP award last year, but where is the line of paying baseball players enough, and too much? I realize that he is a great ball player but when a player is going to get 184 Million dollars (acording to espn.com) over an eight year period is just amazing. This just goes to show that in america sports are highly ranked on the totum pole, and players are payed too much to play the sport that they are good at.
Make up your mind
Now that the football team here at the College has ended thier season, it brings up the question for some, wether to stay and play next year, or to give up thier football career, and focus on there schooling. Many say that they are tired of playing football, or that they may not like the coach, but one factor that makes me so mad is when i hear guys say that it just isnt fun anymore. Why would anyone want to play a sport and practice everyday when it isnt fun. Some people should realize that sports are not life in this world and make up there mind what is important in life, being happy or misurable?
Wrongly Voted
The NBA ( national basketball assosication) All-Star game just finished and like always it is the best of the best in the NBA in action. To see players such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Carmello anthony just to name a few all on the court at once is amazing. The players that play in the game are all voted on by the people in the world. This is usually fine because most offtend the people vote the best people into the game. This year is different, a guy named Allen Iverson was voted into the game and i dont see how he is worthy. The guy didnt even play but like ten games and didnt have any amazing stats. This is the problem with the sports nation, just because a guy is known widly in the world, he was voted in. This is very upseting to me, they should put the best people in the game, but the known names will always be in there regardless on there preformance.
